Syneka Marketing has been an active participant in the National Volunteering Conference since 2011. This year is no exception, where we will be presenting an interactive workshop on re-defining marketing for not-for-profit organisations.
Marketing is one of the most misunderstood terms in the not-for-profit sector, yet its need has never been greater.
As the sector faces funding consolidation, over-saturation and an increasingly difficult to reach public, the need for a strategic marketing approach is evident.
Unfortunately, many not-for-profit organisations have rudimentary marketing capabilities, with a focus on short-term tactics, rather than aligning marketing outcomes with their strategic goals. This workshop will guide participants through the development of a strategic marketing audit, enabling them to assess the effectiveness of marketing and uncover metrics that can be utilised to evaluate outcomes. The need to drive innovation through marketing will also be explored, highlighting examples of where innovative outcomes have been created through a responsive and dynamic organisational approach.
Participants will discover the difference between tactics and strategy, ensuring that marketing actions are consistent with their strategic direction. Ultimately, there will be an appreciation for the development of a consistent message, theme and experience that resonates with their stakeholders.
Participants will leave with an understanding of how they can develop their own strategic marketing plans and assess the capabilities of their organisation in achieving their goals
The 2016 National Volunteering Conference will be held in Canberra, with our session commencing at 4.45pm on Wednesday the 6th of April for details visit www.2016nationalvolunteeringconference.com.au
