We attended the first anniversary of the Emerald Hill Library and Heritage Centre. The centre is located directly opposite our office and we joined in the festivities which commenced at noon. Representatives from the Port Phillip City Council including the Mayor and ward councillor were in attendance, and spoke at the event.
The event was designed to engage participation from the local South Melbourne populace and drew in a large crowd. A forecourt was opened as part of the event which contains sculptures.
The Port Phillip City Council also showcased a pocket park behind the centre as part of the event. The pocket mark makes use of the back of the library and will be a great place for our personnel to have lunch and enjoy the sunshine over the warmer months.
