
VolunteerFest is a regional conference that is designed to celebrate and share knowledge between not-for-profit organisations in Victoria’s Wimmera and western districts.
The two-day conference was held in Horsham and organised by Wimmera Volunteers and the Department of Planning and Community Development (DPCD).
The first day covered a range of topics including:
- Creating engaged communities,
- Youth volunteering and
- Community inclusion.
The conference succeeded in encouraging to share knowledge and discuss their strategies for volunteer recruitment and retention. Our presentation opened the second day of the conference, providing an overview on marketing and communications.
