The Rotary Club of Ringwood is one of two Rotary Service Clubs in the City of Maroondah. Each year the Club hosts a changeover dinner welcoming the incoming President and Board. This evening’s dinner welcomed incoming President Tim Treeby who will serve in this capacity for the 2011/2012 Rotary year.
Throughout 2011 the Club initiated a range of projects including ongoing support for Marysville, and the installation of security cameras at Ringwood Station. These cameras will assist in improving the safety of the station and the Club has been working with all levels of government to deliver further security cameras throughout the centre of Ringwood.
The Rotary Club of Ringwood is part of District 9810, a region covering Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and surrounding localities. The Club’s website has recently been converted to the new District layout providing consistency between Clubs. This approach will provide a consistent image between the various Clubs across the District helping to explain the purpose and goals of Rotary.
This year the Club plans to strengthen its involvement in the community to further the work of Rotary and its motto of service above self. Further details on the Rotary Club of Ringwood are available at www.ringwoodrotary.org.au.
